The Company
Founded in 1991 with a three person staff, Excel Engineering Inc. has grown to include nearly 100 professionals and support staff. Repeat business and client referrals have contributed greatly to what is now a company which provides professional services for over 400 million dollars of construction annually.
Green Design Comes Naturally
Practicing sustainable design since the beginning. Protecting the environment around us has always been a core focus of Excel. Our architects and engineers design buildings that make efficient use of the building site, select building materials that are environmentally responsible, design systems that conserve energy, and create work environments that are comfortable, healthy and productive for its occupants. This philosophy is not limited to only LEED projects, but has always been at the heart of every Excel design. Meeting sustainability goals requires a truly holistic design. Our fully integrated design approach provides us the unique opportunity to identify synergies between the building systems early in the design process in order to maximize their combined benefits. While not all of our clients choose to pursue LEED certification, our standard design practices ensure that their buildings will be energy efficient and will perform well for many years.

The staff of Excel Engineering, Inc. is highly trained with registrations in over 45 states. In addition, our staff has registrations with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB), National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Association of Licensed Architects (ALA), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), just to name a few.
