Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. has been rooted in Greenwood, Wisconsin, for more than 120 years as a fifth-generation, family-owned producer. Known for their innovation and commitment to quality, Grassland continues to expand their capabilities in butter, dairy powders, and cream products to meet growing demand.

Excel Engineering has partnered with Grassland for over 20 years, and we are currently working closely with Grassland on several full-service projects including the design of two rack-supported Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) buildings - one refrigerated system for butter storage and another dry storage ASRS for powder. Concurrently, building expansion is underway to add another protein dryer, a building addition to increase boiler capacity, another addition to increase milk storage with new silos, silo alley, and finally an expansion to their waste treatment facility. Our team is providing comprehensive architectural, civil, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical engineering services to support Grassland’s continued growth and production innovation.
