Lower Sioux Intergenerational Cultural Incubator
This community center serves as a place for Dakota elders and youth to connect through language preservation, sewing, art, cooking, and more. BNIM, the architecture firm working on the project, skillfully incorporated elements of the Dakota culture into the building's design.
The design for the precast exterior of the Intergenerational Cultural Incubator drew inspiration from traditional floral and geometric patterns found in the Dakota flag and language. Our Precast team played a role in turning this vision into reality by performing the engineering and design drafting.
