Camping World
Our Site Development project spotlight is the new Camping World location in Oshkosh, WI. The existing site presented a challenge, as it was a low-lying agricultural field with isolated non-federal wetland pockets. To develop the site, a significant amount of fill was required to bring the site up to a developable pad elevation for appropriate visibility and site drainage.
The stormwater management pond was designed to be oversized and over-excavated to balance the site's earthwork. Our team then implemented an efficient design that involved a combination storm sewer/trench drain in large pavement areas to minimize earthwork fill while conveying runoff. These decisions lead to offsite fill material not being needed, helping the client save on both time and materials.
