The Fond du Lac School District was ready to upgrade its current multi-sport athletic complex. With Fruth Field located just 10 minutes away, the school faced limitations in utilizing the space beyond after-school athletic activities, coupled with the constant challenge of field maintenance. The solution was to establish a turf-based complex right on campus, providing a versatile venue for football, boys and girls soccer, track and field, marching band, and gym classes.

Our team joined forces with the school district right from the beginning. Together, we assessed the issues associated with Fruth Field and laid out the objectives for the upcoming complex. Excel then dived into the process of selecting an ideal site and commenced the complex's design. In addition to the complex's layout, we collaborated with the school district to implement a comprehensive signage system throughout the facility. This collaborative effort resulted in the creation of a donor wall, sponsor acknowledgments, and effective wayfinding.

The end product is a cutting-edge athletic complex, boasting a seating capacity of 3,500 people and standing room for over 4,000, offering a remarkable sporting experience.
