Lake Geneva Country Club
When the Lake Geneva Country Club was faced with shoreline issues, our team stepped in to design a long-term solution that would protect the golf course and serve their guests well into the future.
Our team began with a focus on fully understanding the cause of the existing bank failures along Lake Geneva. We conducted a detailed investigation that included site visits, surveys, and coordination of geotechnical testing along with an excavation inspection and then presented the club owners with a simplified explanation of a complex solution. We worked closely with the club owners to identify design constraints, which involved the undermining of the bank, vegetation removal near the clubhouse, steep banks, and tight quarters. An emphasis was then put on minimizing the impact on the golf course operations. Our team also assisted the Lake Geneva ownership through the bid and construction process, working closely with the contractors and suppliers to ensure everyone involved understood the goals and concerns of the club and to guarantee a smoothly run project. In the end, the club gained a functional and beautiful solution to their shoreline issues.
