Excel Explorer Program for High School Students
Do you know a high school student interested in pursuing a career in Architecture or Engineering? Starting in October, we will again be running our Explorer Program designed to give students an idea of what it is like to work in the Architectural Engineering field. This hands-on program will give students an opportunity to work on projects and skills training with our volunteer employees leading the program. We will have a program orientation session/open house on October 3rd at 6:00pm and sessions will run ever second and fourth Tuesday from October to January at 6:00pm. We would love to have you join! Learn more about the program here:
The primary purpose of this program is to give students an idea of what it is like to work in the Architectural field, through fun hands-on projects and skills training by volunteer architects. Our hope is that they will gain useful knowledge and skills to help them determine if a further education and career in architecture could be in their future!
The program will include presentations and hands-on activities in the following areas:
Excel Engineering, Inc., 100 Camelot Drive, Fond du Lac, WI
This will be a brief meeting to acquaint students with the program and advisors for the program, as well as answer any questions you may have. The group will then meet every second and fourth Tuesday from October through January at 6:00 PM for approximately one hour. Please invite your friends to come as well!
Students can email firstname.lastname@example.org by September 30th if they are interested in participating or attending the open house. There is a one-time fee of $34.00 payable to Bay-Lakes Council at the first meeting and a parent/guardian’s signature is required for students under 18 year of age.
