Spotlight - Baird Center

Construction is nearing an end at the Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee! The convention and exhibition center has been under construction since October 2021 for an expansion that nearly doubles its original size. Excel's Specialty Structures team had the opportunity to provide engineering and drafting on this historic project. Our scope of work totaled about 40,000 square feet. Shown in the photo is the 100-foot-long bridge our team engineered that allows pedestrians to cross over Vel R. Phillips Avenue.
